Craniosacral therapy is a branch of osteopathy, its purpose being to reduce compression and restore the flow of cerebrospinal fluid into the central nervous system.
This is a gentle and non-invasive method of evaluating and correcting the craniosacral rhythm, a rhythm given by the cerebrospinal fluid. In therapy, the bones of the skull, neck, sacred bone and spine are manipulated with very fine movements, stimulating the flow of cerebrospinal fluid.
Craniosacral therapy is done gently so that the body does not offer resistance and the osteopath can enter the deeper layers to feel what is happening in the body.
Craniosacral therapy is complementary to other therapies and by its depth it releases certain restrictions from the body, reaching the cause that caused these restrictions. Often a physical pain is given by an emotional condition, and by releasing the deep and unconscious emotion the pain is resolved.
In craniosacral therapy, the therapist works with the craniosacral rhythm and fascia - connective tissue connecting all the tissues and structures in the body. In the fascia, tensions can unbalance the body.
By supporting the healing process, craniosacral therapy solves problems such as: back and pelvic pain, headaches, cervical spine problems, skull bone disorders, depression, insomnia, panic attacks, various fears.
